AROMA: Surprisingly, first nose wave is primarily marzipan, followed by a rich battered cake, then the sweet maraschino cherries rise, followed by a hint of desiccated coconut
TASTE: The nose and palate flip; maraschino cherries take front seat on the palate, with the marzipan and bitter almond notes sneaking in towards the rear palate
FINISH: Sweet and mild, with an increase in almond notes in the fade out
INFO: This is a premium liqueur that is artificially colored. However, the sourcing, distillation and maturation processes used for this spirit ensure that it is easy enough to drink over ice by itself, mixed in cocktails or even poured lightly over vanilla ice cream. Made with Weichsel cherries from Austria, they provide both a bitter and sweet flavor.
