AROMA: Toasted marshmallows, vanilla cream, roasted pineapple and baked apples, pears, and apricots studded with cloves, with the tang of cordite lingering in the background
TASTE: Barbequed pineapple and fruitiness is met by smokiness, pine nuts, almonds, toffee, with malt grain and vanilla supporting the back palate
FINISH: Long, slightly sulphurous finish with noticeable notes of fruit, woody char and vanilla that fade with hints of malt, earth and apricots
INFO: Located at the confluence of the River Spey and the River Fiddich, the Craigellachie distillery is smack dab in the middle of Speyside territory. One of the three official Craigellachie bottlings released in 2014, their 13 year old single malt Scotch whisky handsomely shows off the bold, robust character of the distillery's output.
